Semiotic Analysis: Fairy Liquid Adverts
Analyse a section of fairy liquid advertisements from the 1960's to today.

In this advert, it is seen as a very stereotypical of women. it shows a women in the kitchen who is the one cleaning the dishes with her daughter. in the 1960's women were seen as the ones who should stay at home as a stay at home mum who would cook, clean and look after the children while the husband is out working. in the advert there is portrayal of mens rules in the family. the female is role is the centre of the advert as it would appeal more to women as there were the ones who would be the ones washing the dishes so they would be more marketed to the product. At the beginning of the advert the children is learning the words "L" and "F" which the mother then states could also mean Fairly Liquid, this is relating the product to memorable items which can could make the audience easier the remember the product. throughout the advert there bottle of Fairly Liquid is shown 8 times , this allows the audience the recognise the product and make it easier to purchase it from the shops.
